![]() ![]() Given the circumstances, I shall provide one for you. There's a good chance you might be disappointed. ![]() I hope you're not expecting an answer from the person you quoted after reanimating the corpse of this over-a-year-old thread. What about when there are 3 Giant Red Slimes that exploded at once in a clear area so theres no protection, while also having to deal with 2 bats. Play Dark Souls then come back to Stardew Valley you'll love the combat here again, I promise. Practice makes perfect, and the combat isn't too hard. LIke when bats come flying your way you can't just flail and hope everything will be alright. Originally posted by Redlilycat:Timing is important. Try to back the slimes up against a wall if there's one nearby. For the flying monsters (bats, serpents in the Skull Cavern), wait until they're near you, then swing. I usually just run away from the monsters unless they're dropping something I want.Īs Redlilycat said, timing is important. At first, it seems hard bc you have a horrible weapon and you aren't used to how it works. Just hit them with your weapon to break them without using energy.Ĭombat is generally bad in this game bc it's so simple. I think some of the wooden crates and barrels drop equipment. But if you got it before getting the obsidain sword, it would be a very good upgrade. I have several but got them after I already had the Obsidian Sword and it's not as good. You can also get the Neptune's Glaive from treasure chests when you're fishing. ![]() You get an Obsidian Sword at level 90 of the Mines, which helps a lot. You also lose energy, probably the second most limited resource, when the direction is wrong for hoeing, etc. I've wasted tons of time bc of that and IMO it's very frustrating in a game where time is your most limited resource. The directional gameplay is bad whether it's in combat or farming, e.g., watering with a copper or steel watering can. ![]()
